I recently retired after eleven years as an external assessor for NSI, BSI and CCAS.

During this time, I undertook:

  • 237 ACS assessments including all scopes.
  • 301 ISO 9001 audits including all stages, surveillance, re-certification and transfers

How much will I cost? Of course this can be negotiable depending on what you want, but as a guide, I normally charge £350 a day plus VAT including travel - as long as you are within striking distance of Guildford!
A little bit about me:

Previous to the above:

I started my career as a computer programmer, project manager, recruitment and training officer before taking responsibilities for Quality Assurance. I was a pioneer in the use of metrics and certification in IT. It was here, in 1992, that my experience with ISO 9001 (then BS 5750) commenced. I moved out of IT as an internal consultant.

In 1998 I set up with other colleagues as an independent consultant, undertaking projects for organisations using a broad range of techniques, invariably customised to meet specific needs.

In 2008, I began my career as an ACS and ISO 9001 assessor.
The Supported Frameworks

ISO 9001 is a standard designed to help organisations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements related to a product or service.

Third-party certification bodies, such as BSI, CCAS, provide independent confirmation that organisations meet the requirements of ISO 9001. Over one million organisations worldwide are independently certified, making ISO 9001 one of the most widely used management tools in the world today.
